Nuechterlein Electric is a Briggs and Stratton factory authorized service agent for the tri-city area, with 24 hour support for warranty and non-warranty work alike. One customer had Nate quote a unit, saw it installed along with the rest of the electrical they wanted done, and has had Jim out every year since to service it.

Frankenmuth had its own power company before it had this one. The shop that grew out of it has changed hands three times and never changed address.

Fred G Nuechterlein
Hired as a clerk at the Frankenmuth Power and Light Company the year it was founded, later on its board, and later still an electrical contractor in his own name.

Lawrence Nuechterlein
Bought the contracting business from his uncle Fred, having trained at Arthur Hill Trade School and worked for him as a radio repairman, and renamed it Nuechterlein Electric.

Tom Fechter
Bought the business, built the first half of the Midtown Shops, and hired a Michigan State intern named Tom Erdman in 1973.

Tom Erdman
Bought the shop after twenty five years in it, ten of them as partner. Michigan journeyman 1976, master 1978. President and owner today.

Since 1952, when Lawrence Nuechterlein bought the contracting business from his uncle Fred and put his own name on it. The shop has had three owners since: Lawrence, Tom Fechter from 1970, and Tom Erdman from 1997. The address is still 304 List Street.

Surges, spikes and high frequency noise on a supply shorten the life of electronics, ballasts, lamps and motors. Nuechterlein Electric installs Environmental Potentials equipment that converts that noise to heat instead of shunting it to ground, which is where the clean power and clean ground language comes from.
The staff includes a master contractor, master electricians, journeyman electricians and BAT certified apprentice electricians, and the company is bonded, licensed and insured. Owner Tom Erdman earned his Michigan journeyman's licence in 1976 and his master's licence in 1978.
